Blunt force trauma to my ankles...

So Mindy always says that she can't run/jog because it causes blunt force trauma to her ankles. I used to say she was crazy and that it wasn't funny, it was mean. I used to say that...until today....I've been running for at least a month now. Just every other day but I'm up to 3 miles. Today, I hurt. I'm not sure if it's finally catching up with me or what. I've been telling myself to stick with it, push through the pain and stuff. I'm not sure it's worth it. And to top it off...I am actually GAINING weight!!!!???!?! What the....Totally not cool. So once again (I do this every day) I swear I am never running again! (or, maybe just not until wednesday).

Who doen't like the Circus?!

So over the weekend we braved the circus. It was pretty fun. For me the fun part was watching Chase laugh hysterically at the clowns being silly. Avery was in love with the elephants, tigers, and dogs. Our seats were awesome, thanks Chris! We could see everything from where we sat.

Not so hilarious

On a not so funny note, tuesday Chase came down with a stomach bug. He was up at 3:50a.m. puking. No fever, just pukes. So he stayed home from school. At about 9am we had to take Andy to an appointment at Davis hospital, just a follow-up thing. We were in the waiting room and the next thing I know Chase has had an accident, (diarhea). So I took him home, cleaned him up and went back to get Andy. As we are waiting in the recovery room he starts puking in the garbage can. When he's done, he say he has to go to bathroom, (more poops). Poor kid. I've never seen so much come out of some one so little. I know this is a bit more info than you want, but it's my blog, so whatever. That's just some of the "fun" we are having.
Today, he is better, just a headache-probably related to dehydration. So hopefully he'll be back to school on Friday.

He's only six, but he's HILarIouS!

So on Monday I was getting Chase ready for school. I went to grab the bread to make his sandwich...To my dismay, there was none left. Dad had eaten the last two pieces for breakfast. Now, usually this wouldn't seem to upsetting for anybody else, but Chase HATES school lunch! So I sheepishly turned and looked and the school menu and told Chase "hey bud, I'm really sorry but we're out of bread....but they're having tater tots and fruit and (cringe, cringe) fish sticks, I think you like those?.." He said something that sounded enthusiastic and I asked, "oh, do you like fish sticks?"....His reply...."no, I don't like fish sticks...I LOVE fish sticks!!!!", he screams.. ..He is so funny...I was off the hook, and I couldn't help but laugh at his response.

So we finally made it out for our hike! I have been wanting to go hiking up Mueller Park Canyon for a while now, we just couldn't seem to get there.

The kids had a great time. They wanted to go all the way to the top, but we wanted to make sure they could make it down the hill on their own two feet so we turned around after about fourty minutes. All in all it was a good hike.

Andy has started back to school. He only has 1 class every Thursday, thank goodness. Yah, it's my bussiest night, yah, he is gone till 10pm, yah, it sucks! But it will all be worth it in the end. Once he is done with this class, he will have two classes in spring and then he can sit for the CPA exams. Thursdays, I have YW's volleyball at 5, then I ref the game at 6. Then, I play women's volleyball at 8 or 9, and ref the game at wichever time I don't play. Yea volleyball!!!! and more importantly, yea Andy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, the official diagnosis for Avery is a viral induced asthma attack. Whatever had her sick triggered a "reaction". Since this is the first "asthma attack", they won't diagnose her with asthma. Should she have another "attack", then it is something the doctor wants to persue. And there you go....
