We did it!!!

What a long day! Saturday was the Ogden Marathon. I had been asked to be on a relay team by some awesome friends from my sister Mindy's ward and the day finally came. What a great time we had. It all started at 3:30am saturday morning. That is when I got up. My ride picked me up at 4am and we were on our way! After finding the appropriate bus, I was taken up to the starting line which was 5400 feet up Ogden canyon. Can we say BBRRRRRRRR! Freezing!!!!!!! THose who could fit huddled around fire pits trying to keep warm until the 7am starting time. That was a long wait. Just before the race started, the sun came out which helped tremendously! Then we were off! I ran my leg of the race, 7 miles, in 1 hour 12 minutes, (a 10:19 pace, which is great for me). Before the race I had made up my mind to run at least a half marathon,so when I reached the exchang point I gave Jen the timing chip and kept going. The coarse was beautiful!! I finished the 13.1 miles with a time of 2hours 20 minutes. I felt pretty good about that, mentally. Physically, my body was not so impressed. I hobbled to the shuttle and found my way to the finish line to wait for my team to cross the finish line. Way to go girls!!! You did awesome!!! I can't wait to do it again! (This pic is of MIndy, Gina, and Julie running in to the finish!)

You go, girl! Wow!! If I ran that far, I'd never walk again. I'm super impressed!
