Chase had his 7th birthday on Oct. 9th. He was so excited. First thing in the morning he came out into the kitchen and said "Mom, can I just open my telescope now or do I have to wait?" I responded with ...."how do you know it's a telescope?" Not thinking he had seen it, as it was hidden deep in my closet. His answer.."it was on your receipt." What receipt? that's right the one in my junk drawer. He "happened" to find it under all the crap and read through the receipt, innocently I'm sure, and figured that if I had bought a telescope, it was for him. And there you go. No surprises at the Cooper house anymore. I'll have to be much more careful about where I put my "junk".
The following Friday we had a little party with our cousins and friends. It was lots of fun. We played the flour game (if you don't know what it is, ask me later, it's a blast for the kids) and pin the moon on the earth. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHASE!
