Chase has been tagged by Brilynn, so, five things you may not know about him are:
1) Most know that Chase is super smart. He is incredibly logical for a six year old. You may also know he has his mother's personality, as far as the quirky, goofy sense of humor. But you may not know that he is, on occasion, very thoughtful. He will surprise me by saying a special thanks for random things...For example he always includes in his prayers a special "thanks for my mom and dad and all that they do for me". ....now, this may not seem too surprising, but I promise I never "coached" him to say that, ever! He is so sweet!!
2) Chase gets up very early in the morning, always has. He has since I can remember. His internal alarm clock is at 6:00-6:30 am. First thing in the morning he gets up, gets dressed, makes his bed and then races downstairs to turn the TV on (not proud about that part).
3) He can remember EVERYTHING!!! I'm not exaggerating. My brother Craig likes to test this when we see him. When Chase was 3 or 4 (he didn't get his memory from me) he asked everyone what their favorite color was. Craig asks him "what's MY favorite color?" and Chase will tell him it's black, which is what craig told him 3 yrs ago. He can remember living in Elko and the places we went while we lived there and that Lake Tahoe is in California and Nevada, (we went there 2 yrs ago). He remembers very little trivial things and big important details, better than me! It has been a source of embarrassment for me on occasion. For example, he brought it to my attention when he was in trouble and I told him he was grounded from the WII. He said "that's ok, you'll just forget anyway". Ouch! so true.
4) He loves learning about outer space, planets, moons, and stars. He, with his amazing memory, can tell you about Jupiter's moons, how many there are, some of their names and neat facts about each planet. He is so cool!
5) Chase has a great perspective on life. He has a very unique understanding of the gospel principles we teach him. I wish everyone could participate in our family home evenings and listen to his interpretation of what we discuss. He is AwEsOmE!!! We love having him in our family and I can't imagine how dull life would be without him!

What a sweet boy! I really need to know him better - I'm missing out! And, I thought my kids' internal alarm clock was early at 6:45 to 7:00ish. I won't complain anymore. It could be earlier... What a fun post!
